Elisabetta Canalis one of the wonderful Italian film and television actresses and models has become a household name in Italy. She has become a regular fixture on Italian television with her appearances on a host of talk shows and comedy sitcoms and soaps. while pursuing her foreign language studies in Milan, Elisabetta Canalis had the chance to audition for a part on a comedy television show "Striscia la notizia" in 1999.
To her surprise, she won the part of a show girl named 'Velina' and within three seasons of the show's running until 2002, Elisabetta has become a well-known television persona in Italy. The success of her debut show landed her several television shows and series that include "Controcampo" {2000-2005}, a popular sports show on which she was commentator on Italian soccer championship matches along with Sandro Piccininni. On "Stelle a quattro zampe" she was one of the hosts of the show that dedicated to the most beautiful dogs in the world. Her other shows include "Ciro presenta Visitors" {2003}, "Superciro" {2004}, and in "Mai dire marted́" {2007}, Canalis was part of the comic show by the Italian famous Gialappa's Band. She has also had major roles on "Carabinieri" {2003} and "Love Bugs" {2005}.
Elisabetta made her film debut with an American comedy movie "Deuce Bigelow 2 - The European Gigolo" in 2004 and has since appeared in two more films "Angels & Virgins" {2005} and "Natale a New York" {2006}. Her Italian movie "Fidanzata di papa, La: Girlfriend of dad" is to hit the theaters in late 2008 as it is still under production.
Elisabetta's modeling portfolio is equally impressive.
